Our mission is to contribute with global reach to technological mobility, to the development, experimentation and implementation of innovative solutions that help MAPFRE and the sector on their transformation. 

 

Who is CESVIMAP? 

 

CESVIMAP, Centro de Experimentación y Seguridad Vial MAPFRE, is MAPFRE's R&D centre, within the MAPFRE Open Innovation (MOI) model. We are MAPFRE's innovation laboratory for new products and services based on Usage Based Insurance (UBI). 

 

Our mission is to contribute with a global scope to mobility, and on a mainly technological basis, to the ideation, development, experimentation, and implementation of practical and innovative solutions that help to transform the insurance sector and automotive aftermarket business. We have been ahead in the study of new forms of mobility: electrified vehicles, use of PMVs (personal mobility vehicles) ... We are also experimenting with autonomous vehicles to ensure that their technology meets the highest safety standards. 

CESVIMAP's wide-ranging research work also includes the outstanding work of the traffic accident reconstruction area (which deals with the study of vehicle fires). 

 

We are a global benchmark technology centre for the design, insurance, use, maintenance, repair, and recycling of vehicles. We are and open centre to all the market which offer our services for the main players in automotive aftermarket: insurance companies, car manufacturers, official dealers, independent workshops, technical schools, etc.  

 

At CESVIMAP we incorporate environmental aspects and the generation of value in society through the creation of innovative formulas, relying on R&D, innovation, consultancy, training, knowledge dissemination and the promotion of the circular economy linked to the management of the end of the life cycle of vehicles. CESVIMAP has held UNE-EN ISO 14001 certification since 2002 for its research, consultancy, and training activities. The objective of ISO 14001 is the protection of the environment through the management of environmental risks that may arise from the development of business activity. Our certification is a sign of CESVIMAP's commitment to sustainability. CESVIRECAMBIOS it is our automotive recycling centre and an example of circular economy on the automotive aftermarket business.  

 

Likewise, since 2001, CESVIMAP has been certified in the UNE-EN ISO 9001 standard, focused on quality.
